Review

Elin and Gavin have been betrothed since they were young. Their match will bring together two wealthy and powerful families and Elin will become a Duchess. What more could a young debutante wish for? Elin and Gavin may have sailed into a blissful ton marriage, if not for one itty bitty complication- Ben, Gavin's brother. Elin imagined herself in love with Ben when they were younger, before he seduced her and promptly abandoned her. But he's back and this time determined to make Elin choose him.

Elin tries hard to forget her indiscretion with Ben and to put it in her past. She wishes to marry Gavin and make both of their families happy. Yet when Ben reappears in her life she struggles to keep her feelings in the past and soon she struggles between the choice of duty or love.
Ben was sent to enlist in the military after his and Elin's secret was discovered. He's built a life for himself and is frustrated when his brother forces him to come home and back to the family. Ben's feelings for Elin are still there and he wants her to choose him.

This story certainly has enough to keep your attention, although the pace can be a little slow. The plot takes a turn when someone attempts to kill Elin. This brings Ben and Elin together as he protects her and they try to find out who wants her dead. Elin then finds herself torn between her betrothed and her love, presenting her with a difficult choice. The intrigue and danger mix with the forbidden romance between Ben and Elin to produce an engaging story. I'll be very intrigued to read Gavin's story and see him get his happy ending.
