Logan spent two years paying for the mistakes he made. Now, he's ready to start over. He has a great apartment, a good job, and plenty of women to distract him from his past. And one woman who is driving him to distraction...
Grace escaped her manipulative family by moving to a new city. Her new life, made to suit her own needs, is almost perfect. All she needs to do is find her Mr. Right-or at least figure out a way to ignore her irresistible yet annoying womanizer of a neighbor.
Grace is determined to have nothing to do with Logan until a life-changing surprise slowly begins turning the wild heartbreaker into exactly the kind of strong, stable man she's been searching for. Only just when she begins to give into his charms, her own messy past threatens to derail everything they've worked to build...
Review
I am kicking myself so much for only just now reading my first book in the On Dublin Street series, and the last one at that. I loved this book and I'm so looking forward to reading the rest of the series now! Never fear though for those in a position similar to mine, this works wonderfully as a standalone story.
Logan and Grace have a pretty rocky start to their relationship since he seems determined to keep Grace awake throughout the night as a very noisy neighbour. Add in his assortment of female companions and Grace doesn't have the best opinion of Logan. But when Logan's life changes in a pretty major way, Grace can't just stand by and ignore it. She goes beyond anything she had to do and steps in to help Logan.
Soon enough the palpable tension between Logan and Grace ignites and they have an intense, passionate relationship. Even when Grace's past comes back to haunt her, Logan is there to support Grace and work through it together.
This story had that magical ability to make me alternately laugh and cry, and I actually squealed with a kind of giddy glee when Grace and Logan finally gave in and had sex. Best build up ever. Things were totally hot between them and I loved it. I also really loved the actual plot line and the way Logan's life was completely turned on its head.
Another aspect I loved was that the book was set in Edinburgh and you could really tell that the author knows Edinburgh. I've lived here for four years and I loved recognising places that were mentioned throughout.
I loved this story and know that Grace and Logan's story will be one I want to revisit again. It's certainly made me eager to read the previous books. The epilogue of this has snippets from the lives of each of the main characters in the series so I can't wait to reread those snippets once I've read each couple's story.
*I received a review copy from the publisher for my honest opinion. Thank you!
